The annual open enrollment period for Medicare plans is from November 15 to December 31 each year. You may make changes to an existing plan or enroll in a new plan during this time including, but not limited to, enrollment in a Part D prescription drug plan.

From January 1 to March 31 each year Medicare Enrollees may make 1 change to their current plan. During this period you may switch to a different plan of THE SAME TYPE. For example if you have a Medicare Advantage Plan with no Part D you may switch to a different Medicare Advantage with No Part D but You may not enroll in a Stand alone Part D plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan with Rx coverage.
