If you are a low income Medicare Beneficiary you may qualify for special programs to help you with your Part D premiums. These programs may also help you pay for co-pays and deductibles depending on your level of eligibility.
The Part D extra help low income subsidy program is administered by Social Security. In order to qualify you must meet certain eligibility requirements. You may also apply by mail. This usually takes much longer to process. In order to enroll by mail you will first need to request a paper application from Social Security.
