Most Medicare advantage plans are offered including Part D prescription drug coverage although there are usually a few with no drug coverage included. These plans are offered in the form of an HMO or PPO and occasionally PFFS Plans are available. These plans usually have lower premiums than Medicare supplement plans since they are subsidized by the Federal Government.

Medicare Supplements In New York City Counties

Medicare supplement plans
are designed to help cover some or all of the co-payments or costs that Medicare does not pay. The amount your supplement pays depends on the plan you choose. Each Medicare supplement has a letter ( A through N ) and all companies must offer the same benefits for each individual plan. Therefore if you would like to choose a Plan F, although prices may be different between various companies, the benefits offered will be exactly the same.Medicare supplements do not include part d coverage and in NY State pricing is standardized and determined by your zip code and County.

Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage

You may choose to buy a Medicare supplement with a separate Part D plan or simply stick with Original Medicare and buy a Part D prescription plan. It is a good idea to put together a good list of your prescriptions including dosage and quantity amounts before doing your search to find the most economical insurance.
